STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

DOESN’T IGNITE

When an electric stove won’t start, first be sure the appliance power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas appliances. If the stove power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is on, it means a different part will need to be replaced. The reason for the problem might be an infinite switch, surface element, igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOESN’T HEAT

A stove or burner or oven without produce heat won’t do much. An oven will not heat if there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. Your burner won’t turn on if an element is broken or the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We can fix these common issues in less than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

TIMER ISSUES

You can assume the control board on an oven is broken if the program or timer settings aren’t working. If that’s the case, we are able to replace control boards for Sears, GE, LG, KitchenAid, Kenmore and most other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and the manufacturer replacement parts we use for this oven repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You need a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is too hot, it could be due to a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians know how to diagnose the location of the problem and repair it. Be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of skin burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove problem is when an igniter will glow but it will not light. The cause is from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or sensor. We are able to determine whether we can repair these appliance parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning ovens can have door issues often. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, seal and thermostat to troubleshoot why the door doesn’t open and then we complete the necessary repair so we can fix the issue.
